Ryu Do Shotokan Karate Club is a member of the British Karate Association. All of our members MUST have a current valid license with the B.K.A at all times in order to be permitted to train and grade.

As members of the B.K.A all of our students are eligible to compete for a place on the B.K.A squad team in their chosen discipline, be that kata or kumite, or both. This will involve regular training at your club and attendence at all squad training sessions in order that selection can take place. Successful candidates will then be permitted to attend National and International tournaments as a representative of the Association and receive additional coaching by the B.K.A squad coaches.

If you wish to compete for a place on the squad team you must first complete an application form which can be obtained from Sensei or downloaded by clicking on the link below.
